CONCERNED ABOUT RISING COSTS

Danny & S. Maloney, Groveland CA

Increasing insurance & HOA dues are making the dream of owning a home here in PML increasingly fading away. There are so many things our PML board could do to help but instead continue to add to our financial difficulties. The Recall was an enlightening to how many homeowners are asking for change. 601 to be exact owners asked for new leadership. A new year brings yet again a huge increase in HOA fees and what we are told when asked why year after year, is because “things cost more” so our immediate thought should be ok, well what is our board doing to offset the things that cost more? It is a just question, isn’t it? We do not need more “things or amenities “ The reason we bought here was because of the Mountains , less people, less congestion and a slower pace of life. Stop trying to make this for the rich and famous. There are plenty of other areas for that. I look forward to when we can get new thinking, new perspectives, and fresh ideas going forward. Remember at some point new buyers are not going to want to buy here because the high cost of HOA dues. They will buy elsewhere where dues are significantly lower and do not increase every year. Happy New Year, please now open up your wallets again!
